Tea Time Up in the Highland

We went for a vacation up in the highland in Dec and we haven't been there for years. The last time we went there is when the kids are just 2 or 3 years old. So many things have changed and new resorts have been built. Still the environment remain the same.
I browse through the internet for good eating spot then I saw this cosy eatery called The Cameronian Inn. It has nice room for rent and it offers some nice food for tea as well. But the one that attracted me the most would be the scones. It has excellent review by all the visitors.
The scones are homemade and freshly baked for the guest. And the strawberry jam is also homemade, not too sweet and not to jelly like. It was like reliving my tea moment when I was in Folkstone, England. Each bite brings back the memory and I do miss the times when I was there.

Apart from scones, other food they serve is also excellent. My family is having french toast and steamy crunchy fries.

The french toast is not too eggy and not oily. It is served warm and nice with maple syrup on the cold windy afternoon.

I go for Earl Gray with lemon and honey, my favourite afternoon tea and the rest are having hot chocolate, fresh strawberry juice and ice lemon tea. Why would anyone go for icy drinks on a cold and windy day, only my son would be able to answer that....heheheheh.
Overall, it is an excellent tea time experience and I would love to go there for another scone time if I happen to be in the highland again.
